  1. The #BBC #RadioScotland News keeps referring to the Crown Office not the #ProcuratorFiscal when reporting on matters of #ScotsLaw. Latest eg, tonight re #Lockerbie bomb #PanAm103

#Scotland has a separate legal system. This is the subtle, wilful erosion of Scottish identity, a deliberate redefining of the basis on which the Union was formed; rewriting history to suit a political agenda #YouYesYet? #ScottishIndependence #DissolveTheUnion #NotMyKing

  2. It's the 18th of September. 9 years since the people of #Scotland opted for dependence on the criminally corrupt, backward-looking, authoritarian regime in the neighbouring country.

Democracy is being denied to us and the party political route is going nowhere, so why not sign the Edinburgh Proclamation?

  3. 'The meeting of Commissioners' - a #collage inspired by betrayal and my reading about the #ParcelOfRogues who sold out the sovereignty of the people of #Scotland in 1707.

It strikes me that the political shenanigans going on now are not much different to the sort of thing that went on was back then. Everyone has agendas and most are self-serving. Very few people involved in politics actually have any real guts or integrity.

  4. This book I found in a charity shop provides great context to #Lockhart's memoirs of the #Union and the people involved.

The 4th Duke of Hamilton was a right two-faced slimeball. He had a legitimate claim to the throne of #Scotland, but when he realised no-one would support it he decided the Union was his next best option (lots of land in England). He betrayed his Jacobite friends many times over but managed to keep stringing them along.
