2026: #Scotland elects yet another majority of pro-indy MSPs, who vote by 72—55 for a 2nd #indyref. Just as they promised. Within hours, an anonymous Downing Street spokesman says "no". A faceless no.

After 108 years, #UKgov still doesn't get this democracy thing.

@petealexharris @urlyman I think a second #IndyRef is for the time being impossible. I think no #Westminster government will concede one. I think the only route to #ScottishIndependence now, short of civil war (which we definitely don't want) is civil disobedience on an absolutely mass scale -- which I don't believe we're going to get.

I also think that the #SNP is currently doing a very good job of destroying the #Independence movement.

@OorAndy We aren't going to get the choice. #Westminster won't let us have another #IndyRef, and the way #Starmer is going #Farage as PM is a racing certainty.

The only way we get #ScottishIndependence is mass civil disobedience now, or civil war after 2029.

I don't think it's going to happen. Ever.
