No inaturalist for me. It won't let me proceed without that one.
Nice of them to at least ask 🙂

@lyra_navigator been looking at different angles on this but could not find good justification. Where did you get it? I'm looking for something like that.
In the broad strokes I think it is intuitive.
In fact appropriate 0llama use makes it really local, more secure, etc.
This is a pretty big topic with #datasoverignty finally getting a hard push.

Self- Hosted Corner (Day 17): I'm feeling antsy about getting my new storage set up. Here's what usually happens... I run out of usable storage on my main server. Then, I curse myself for not buying any more hard drives. Then, I delete some duplicates, old data, empty the trash, and continue using the system until it fills up again! Rinse and repeat. Putting my data in a precarious situation.
Self-Hosting Law #1: Your data will expand to fill the available storage.

Self-Hosted Corner (Day 3): Jellyfin. Four years ago after hearing good things about Jellyfin from the Self Hosted podcast from @[email protected], I replaced my Plex instance with Jellyfin. I now have TV, Movies, a YouTube archive and IPTV shows all running to all of my devices. I spent some time today getting ready to migrate my Windows installation onto linux using Docker (still waiting on more hard drives--going for 24 Tb usable).

Self-Hosted Corner (Day 2): I'm using a project called flame https://github.com/pawelmalak/flame to create a home page on all my systems and in all browsers. It's a quick way to find links to services that I access on a daily basis and to quickly try out new ones. It is also very helpful when trying to remember what port a particular service is using. Here is my current iteration. #selfhosting #homelab #datasoverignty
