Looking forward to the #dae2025 paper by my @fasosmaastricht colleague Arnoud Wils, who will discuss analysing past art historical research with the help of #LLMs. Arnoud is our research engineer at @theplantfasos and supports the #digitaltransformation of research and teaching at our faculty.

At #dae2025 we are now receiving project updates from the winners of the 2023 @dariaheu working groups funding call.

Interesting for us at @fasosmaastricht and everyone else using advertising in research and teaching: a new app called NEWNA to segment and dynamically interact with magazine pages developed and presented by PhD candidates Tobias Kreten and Svend Göke at #dae2025 ⚒️

Also presented at #dae2025 : a research platform developed by Dariah PL for uploading, annotating, enriching and sharing #humanities data. The platform also allows collaborations. Interesting features are embedded #OCR and #NER functionalities. Find out more: https://lab.dariah.pl/en/

One helpful tool for #histodons (working on German history and culture) is a semi-automated entity linking support for #GND entries developed by colleagues at Sächsische Akademie der Wissenschaften. Attending the live #demo session for new #tools and services at #dae2025 now. The session also includes a brief demonstration of the new content management system behind the #DariahCampus platform. DARIAH-Campus is the @dariaheu discovery framework and hosting platform for learning resources: https://campus.dariah.eu/ We are also in the process of migrating @dariahteach to this new environment.

If you are German-speaking, you can also check out the #nfdi "survival kit": https://zenodo.org/records/14981549 This kit gives researchers orientation in the several NFDI consortia funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

On my way to Alte Mensa in #Göttingen for the opening panel of #dae2025. I am looking forward to the discussion about research #infrastructures and the collaborations behind them. Navigating the national and European landscapes of infrastructure initiatives in the Humanities alone has become a real challenge --- and understanding how you as a researcher, teacher or student can benefit and contribute is even more difficult. Good to hear more from #dariaheu, @nfdi4culture and @ThWuebbena today!

@NanetteRissler @dariaheu You seem to be the only Mastodonian posting on #dae2025 so far --- so I thought I should say hello! 🤗 I am here to co-chair the #dariahTeach working group and to give a paper on #OCR and options to integrate #LLMs in the text recognition workflow. This paper is based on a workshop I gave with @koen_hufkens at @DHLab_IEG earlier this year.
