After struggling for an hour to add a custom search engine to @mozillaofficial for an hour, I've finally managed to get it to work! 😊

Full text searching of toots is possible!

It runs a custom full text search implementation for the instance.
It won't catch everything but it makes finding interesting and like-minded magnitudes easier than painfully spamming hashtags.

@andybaio it's a great idea, and you might not need to wait!
I remembered seeing something like this for tech sites, and while I can't find it I did get some interesting results by searching for:
["curated search engine"]

I've also seen the idea called "boutique" or "custom" search.
Some people emulate this by doing a search with `site:reddit.com`, for example.
