  1. Humankind

    Are we a humankind
    Or something kinda human?
Is it human to feel strange
    Or just some personal confusion?
    Are we the culmination
    Of some kind of evolution?
Is there kindness left at all
    For all the transient mutations?

    Are the humans kind
Or does no one really know them?
Is it stranger not to find
    That you’re a phony homosapien?
Do you ever get the notion
That we are no true relation?
    Are there any humans here
    Or just some distant generation?

use of #biometrics for #id, #recognition, #categorisation, #predictivesystems in decision-making and #resourceallocation, #AI in #lawenforcement disproportionately targets marginalised communities, undermines rights, and enables #masssurveillance…This means that there is an even greater risk of harm, and violations of fundamental rights and the #ruleoflaw.

  9. Hey HiveMind, what's best / cheapest / easiest way to pass ~35k records (titles of talks) into some kind of AI in the hope that I'll get some comma separated categorisation for each title back?

Ideal scenario is I pop a spreadsheet somewhere with titles in column 1 and The Magic Thing pops a separated list of category suggestions into column 2 but I don't know easiest way to get from here to there.

There doesn't seem to be any work going on on the categorisation of hashtags just simplistic things like most popular lists.

I would like to see that kind of work happening.
When using hashtags you should boost the posting to get it cross-posted to other instances.

The more consistent you are with your hashtags the more likely that they'll be used by others.

  20. great research project about "AI" uses that treat people as objects based on flawed/biased database :
    socialnui.unimelb.edu.au/resea

(note the delicious retro GUI style )

great also this is done properly in a lab, presented as social research, and not in the wild presented as "art experience" ... ;)
