The grav-bag did it to me again. This time, it blew my jaw off.

I made it through layer 3 on another run, and with a generous amount of filthy save-scumming, through layer 4.
I am *not* ready for layer 5. I have the gear but not the technique. I do not move well enough to use a firearm in a wet environment, and even a baby salad easily gets in my face and turns me into a chew toy, with the holes to prove it. I can come back later, but I need to learn how to take out sand stalkers first.

The blog post about Casualties Unknown is slowly shaping up
Still need to drop a chunk of text about immersion, about the role of player and the character and their interaction
And of course about the psychological hooks of this, about (what I feel is) a depiction of traumatic environment and dealing with it
... Also idk on conclusion, vaguely thinking about something on topic of art and communication but unsure
It's mostly shaping up into a text about.. like, trauma, and relationship of the player with the game. What's immersion, what is "player character", etc

I desperately need to post that blog post about Casualties: Unknown
The game is an artwork of making you suffer through the stuff you end up inflicting on your survival platforming player character
Like, I feel the game's whole point is that the character isn't you, it isn't your puppet, it's separate and distinct entity.
It kinda makes you wonder about the relationship of the player and the playable character. How must survival games have health systems, etc, but it's just sorta "oh I'm dying oh well that's annoying", because the character is just a window into the game world, one you can discard easily, make a new one, etc
And Casualties: Unknown goes "every run is a new different creature you are controlling, but it isn't YOU". And lets you watch and suffer the consequences along with them.
... That's pretty much the blog post, just, prettier and with more explanation of what the game is, maybe mild history note
And like a few paragraphs of utterly gushing about the sound design. It really adds the spice to the entire experience.
