  1. CW: contains images of a snake

What is our #DangerNoodle doing this morning? Looks like it's awake and thinking about leaving the pot.

    Potted python anyone?

Stepped out the back door this morning and glanced down in to one of the empty pot plant pots on the veranda, and there was a Carpet Python happily snoozing in the pot!

  3. Had a visitor this morning, as I wandered down to the boundary of the bush: a carpet python preparing to catch some sun.

    Carpet python soup

A mother who's just been nursing her eggs for weeks relaxes in a much needed bath. Reminds me of a children's book I read growing up, "Five Minutes' Peace"

Às dèidh seachdainean air an nead aice, tha a' mhàthair seo a' ghabhail fois ann an amar snog.

  6. CW: Video of carpet python in nestbox

For the last two days there have been no possums in my possum boxes. This is the reason why.

The possums are all well aware of this snake and the danger it poses; in fact they knew about it before I did.

  7. CW: Snake

Recently, the possums have stopped using my possum boxes. Now I've found the reason; a carpet python that looks like it hasn't had a meal in a while.

I thought I'd link the video I posted on Twitter rather than post it here so as not to take up storage on the aus.social server. Let me know if this is the wrong thing to do.
