Hey @thunderbird community, do you use Cardbook? If you do, I have a problem/question: I used to drag and drop Cardbook groups into the To:/CC:/BCC: field, but this doesn’t work anymore. Do you have an idea why?
I use #Thunderbird 128.6.0esr (64-Bit) on Windows 11 (ARM). #Cardbook is version 97.7. -

Konnte keine Mails mehr mit #Thunderbird versenden. Nur ohne #Cardbook (nutzt #Nextcloud) . Logins scheiterten. Alle Adressbüchre deabonniert. Dann beim eu abonnieren geht plötzlich nur noch abonnieren mit Mailadresse nicht Nextcloud Usernamen. Okay, when did this happen?

Zufällig gerade über das CardBook-Addon für Thunderbird gestolpert. Das ersetzt das eingebaute Adressbuch. Das ist ziemlich nett!

#Thunderbird115 completely breaks two of the Addons I use. i had to roll back.
#cardbook shows its icon, but the view/tab does not appear. Also the whole configuration is gone. No access to my addresses any more.
#ManuallySortFolders did not work either, which I could live with at a pinch. Some github issue contains an update, which made all accounts disappear except of the first one.

Looks like the #Thunderbird #CardBook extension tried to get fancy and now I can't read its preferences in dark mode.

@thunderbird I've already gotten my hands on #Thunderbird 115 #Supernova and I can tell you: it's worth the wait 💙! The team has done a terrific job of making frontend and backend improvements while maintaining and even extending customizability 👏!
Mind you that the #Cardbook add-on hasn't been updated yet to be compatible with this release. You can use the built-in contacts manager however. Maybe now is the perfect time to back-up your contacts (export to .vcf files) and TB profile?

Linux im beruflichem Umfeld ist einsetzbar! Beispiel: Mobile Surfstation mit Teams, OneDrive #Office365 auf einem #SurfaceGo (Version 1) mit Manjaro Linux (KDE). Notizen werden mit #Kate in Text-Dateien gespeichert und mittels #OneDrive synchronisiert. Kate merkt sich die offenen Tabs. #Email und #Kalender mittels #Thunderbird ( #CardBook #TbSync Addon). #OneDrive mittels Script (abraunegg) abgeglichen. #Onboard zeigt Touch Keyboard.

Yes, I'm using #nextcloud (on a #ubuntu VM on my QNAP #nas ) but every other CardDAV server should work fine with #Thunderbird too.Check this part of the nextcloud docs for a walk through tutorial using TBSynch and the TBSynch provider for CalDAV/CardDAV: https://docs.nextcloud.com/server/21/user_manual/en/pim/sync_thunderbird.html?highlight=thunderbird
I recommend the #CardBook add-on for Thunderbird too.

Finally updated to #Thunderbird v68 !
Almost smooth, many add-ons are still not compatible and there is (at least) an issue with #CardBook (https://gist.github.com/HorlogeSkynet/eda281b2b4ff6bb6674d77d4e823431a/revisions#diff-25a33a9ea0f9dffbd29b5ec6d13dc818)
