Power metal and it's adjacent genres gang rise up! #TuneTuesday #Bythisaxelrule
(Also don't really like equating folklore with fantasy but I listen to folk metal more so hope stretching theme a bit is okay)

Songs about fantasy. Combining some prompts with #Doomtober might be difficult. Luckily, short of power metal bands, nobody is more prone to sing about their D&D campaign than doom metal bands.
Haven’t really been online today but it’s time to join in with #TuneTuesday and the theme is #ByThisAxelRule. Songs about hero’s and heroines and their adventures. Great suggestion by @EisenTukan
My suggestion is Steel and Silver by Visigoth but I could have suggested the whole album.
So for @Kitty's Tune Tuesday this week, we have a theme from @EisenTukan of "By This Axel Rule" - tales of fantasy and heroes.

Here's my kongfu's choice. RZA directly from the 4th chamber:
The song "Eulenspiegel" by Saltatio Mortis is inspired by the legend of Till Eulenspiegel, a trickster character from German folklore. The lyrics celebrate Eulenspiegel's mischievous nature and his ability to bring laughter and reflection to the world.
For #TuneTuesday our theme is fantasy heroes and high adventure: #ByThisAxelRule
Obviously, the only hard part about this is picking just one damn song. I'm dropping into the historical end of things with

Orchestral power/folk metal that really desperately wants and indeed ought to be musical theatre.
(Further: more musicals should have harsh vocal breaks. Fight me.)
"Open your eyes
Yourself apprise
All empires find their demise"
This week's #TuneTuesday is #ByThisAxelRule - songs about heroes and heroines, and I have to share this one, because it is so completely delightful.

This song is so precious to ARMY, and is inspired by the cartoon character and red bean bread hero from a picture book series by Japanese cartoonist Takashi Yanase. Its message is adorable. See next toot >>>

#bythisaxelrule It’s a beautiful #TuneTuesday today! @EisenTukan pitched the theme today: #ByThisAxelRule stories about heroic deeds in times long past!
I'm here and there about the trio version of Genesis, but this prog rock fantasy from '78 still kicks.

Since I expect a lot of power metal today I will balance it out a bit with some good ol’ Strapping Young Lad - Far Beyond Metal. A song about defeating bad lords and leaving icky stuff on his seat.
