Today is National Bluebird of Happiness Day (among many others). It is also a day of trying to diagnose why my old (circa 2014) workstation has started freezing up more frequently. A lot of Elephants have been raised here lately. This referring to the built in linux rescue to reboot.

I've tested memory, CPU, and GPU. All seem ok. Using y-cruncher, the CPU never goes above 65.0℃ (the idle temp is 35℃). I keep htop running but when the system freezes, htop freezes as well. I am loth to buy new or build new.

Is it time to change out thermal paste?

The female builds the nest by herself, it takes about 5 days. She carries a twig and fibers into the box, and after she leaves he checks the progress.
It has to be done properly 🙂.
