  1. Oh, there's a new #wankstortion campaign brewing, it seems.

The one that inboxed here today (nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortio) came, unusually, over IPv6 - 2a0d:6c2:6:6bd:: (the 62yun.com net), otherwise unremarkable. See "The Despicable, No Good, Blackmail Campaign Targeting ... Imaginary Friends?" nxdomain.no/~peter/despicable_ #sextortion #blackmail #bitcoin #bitcon #cybercrime

  2. Reminder of a problem that should not exist, last night the #wankstortion archive nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortio got a full message from a new campaign, showing what swelled the number of trapped hosts over the last few days.

Expect more silliness along the lines of "The Despicable, No Good, Blackmail Campaign Targeting ... Imaginary Friends?" to hit your users again and again. nxdomain.no/~peter/despicable_ #cybercrime #sextortion #scams #cryptocurrency #cryptotulips #bitcoin #bitcon

  3. The slime also evolves, apparently. Today nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortio (nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortio) inboxed, as far as I can recall the first #wankstortion message received here over #IPv6 (and likely inboxed for that reason, bypassing the IPv4 only #spamd).

    See "The Despicable, No Good, Blackmail Campaign Targeting ... Imaginary Friends?" nxdomain.no/~peter/despicable_ and links therein for some background #cybercrime #scams #sextortion #bitcon #bitcoin #cryptotulips #cryptocurrency #extortion #teksavvy

  4. #cecot is a #deathcamp.
Google satellite photo shows a pile of dead bodies and blood.
Apple has blurred this immediately upon release.

The reluctance to return the US Citizens kidnapped and unlawfully sent there may be because they are already dead at worst, or at best they know exactly what is happening to the others.

But hey, #elsalvador embraced #bitcon as it's currency, so all is good right?

  5. Another round of crypto scam, faked caller ID +46729054372, from somebody claiming to be from "Asset recovery" and that they had a crypto currency account in my name.

    I told them,

"You know, where you are going there will be no windows. And not nearly enough air. Your best choice would be to put down the phone and get out of there"

    before hanging up.

    Echoes of this episode, much the same script: nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b #bitcon #bitcoin #scams #cryptocurrency #cryptotulips #crypto

  6. Another "I am calling from Blockchain" scam call, this time from +4366424077552 which my phone took to be an Austrian number. Same spiel as in "Your 'Forgotten' Blockchain Account Needing Reactivation? It's a Scam
" nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b (or tracked bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you), expect more to come #blockchain #scam #bitcoin #bitcon #fraud #cybercrime -- expect those to pick up significantly under the new US administration.

  7. The "I am calling you from the support department of Blockchain" scam nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b (or tracked bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you) is still running it seems, this time via phone from +4369919040167 #blockchain #bitcoin #bitcon #scam #cybercrime

now with previously missing evidence restored

  8. I've mentioned cryptobros posting comment spam earlier, but did anyone else notice that the comment spam looks increasingly crapomat generated?

I mean, sure the keywords can be found in the text but does this nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b (or if you prefer G's trackers bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you) sound like I'm at all interested in either buying or selling cryptotulips?

  9. The cryptobros are getting ever more desperate, it seems.

Several attempts during the last week at "Blockchain Technology" comment spam at my "Forgotten Blockchain account ..." piece bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you (trackerless nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b), and yesterday, a local-language (.NO) robocall campaign saying basically the same things as in the article. #bitcon #bitcoin #cryptocurrency #cryptoscam #scam #cryptobros (in comment spam now outumbering the escorts in Turkish resorts ones)

  10. The "I am calling from Blockchain about your forgotten account" scammers are still at it, as annoying as ever. Time to reprise my 2022 piece bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you or trackerless (and barebones formatted) nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b #blockchain #bitcoin #bitcon #scam

This time the obviously faked caller ID claimed a Norwegian number (99454462, no country prefix), but the call was your typical noisy Asian call centre with somebody reading their script and sounding hurt when I told them to f**k off.

  11. Another #blockchain scam call today, from a +47 number. Again several seconds of silence before responses to anything I said, but when I told the girl at the other end that whoever put her up to this would not be paying her, the line went dead quickly.

The intro was much the same as the earlier attempts though, see bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you (also trackerless at nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b) #blockchain #bitcon #bitcoin #scam

  12. The "I am calling you from Blockchain ..." scammers are at it again, with fake caller ID stating a +47 number this time around.

I told them to f**k off, but the script is likely warmed over from bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/you (also trackerless at nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_b) #blockchain #bitcon #bitcoin #scam

  14. That grumpy BSD guy: The 'sextortion' Scams: The Numbers Show That What We Have Is A Failure Of Education bsdly.blogspot.com/2020/02/the or trackerless nxdomain.no/~peter/the_numbers My 2020 piece, updated with data on several newer campaigns including the ongoing one. #sextortion #cybercrime #spam #bitcoin #bitcon #wankstortion
