#Rogers days of being the high end ISP are clearly over.

This was signally when Rogers surrendered on IPTV service & outsourced it to Comcast, just like Wireless outsourced to Ericcson. It is now just a sales front end, following the exact same path as Sprint US.

The #financialization of Rogers Internet service is well under way.

Rogers refused to sell me Internet below $90/mo.

#Teksavvy on the other hand made it *easy* to do business with them.

I just went to set up #TekSavvy for my new apartment and apparently the #FiberOptic line going into the building is blocked for #IndepententServiceProviders. I've been with TekSavvy for probably close to 20 years (National Capital Freenet before that).

Especially ridiculous that they can do this going into an #AffordableHousing building and charge tenants whatever ridiculous inflated rates they want.

Hey #Ottawa Mastadonians: I'm on my 13th hour with my #Teksavvy #ISP internet down and no sign it's coming back anytime soon, on top of which I know they're built on the garbage dumpster Rogers network that I'd love to be less reliant on for working from home anyway.
