I get around 3-4 spam calls a day that all say roughly the same thing. I’m getting real sick of this shit. I need to nuke my cell number from space and start over. I block and report the number as spam every time and it doesn’t seem to do anything. It’s a different number every time.

Endless spamming of pleas for money / volunteers to my phone from constantly revolving phone numbers means I cannot reliably block your messages. Therefore I have resorted to deleting them all and reporting them all as spam.

I've had a stupid number of calls recently that just go along the lines of
"hi, about that job on (insert random job website here), add me on WhatsApp to discuss it"
and it hangs up.

does anyone know if there's somewhere to report scam/spam numbers?
I am so fucking sick of these worthless sacks of shit calling me multiple times per day, leaving VOICEMAILS every time, from a different number every time so I can't just block them.
I hope they die a slow and horrible death, and the same for whatever carrier keeps giving them numbers. I would also really appreciate it if Fido/Rogers stopped letting spam calls through their network.

If anyone here lives where Rep. Abigail Spanburger is tell her she's the single worst human every to run for office. I live in New England for Pete's sake, no where near her district.
Several calls/texts a week, even voice mails from the blocked numbers.
I even wrote her office.
Just horrible.

Elmo switched on audio and video calling by default, which could expose your IP address, and allow spammers to call you. Turn it off.

South Africans can take several measures to minimize the amount of spam calls and unsolicited marketing they are regularly bombarded with.
In 2021, Truecaller’s Global Spam & Scam Report found that South Africa had the 9th-highest rate of spam calls in the world. That was a massive jump from 17th place in 2020.
The popular call-screening app found that South Africans received an average of 13.2 monthly spam calls per user.
So even though there is legislation, and I've opted out, I still get a few calls every day. It is true, there may be some older form that still has a tick (or no tick) next to "Yes I'd love marketing calls" or "Don't give my number to 3rdparty suppliers", but either ways, the calls just don't stop.
Truecaller has really worked well for me, so well, that I had to get rid of my iPhone and move back to an Android phone, as the Truecaller app is crippled on iOS due to not having dialler permissions.
So, this app is really the only way as reporting to the police, and opting out, just don't seem to work in practice. It is a nightmare in South Africa as far as managing it goes, and opting out of marketing calls.

I've gotten in somebody's scam-marketing crosshairs, and today I got 13 spam calls, all between 8AM and 2:30PM. Most calls are (I'm sure spoofed) local numbers, but they do repeat. Meanwhile, #Verizon CHARGES for call blocking, which is obscene. I keep my ringer off and rarely do voice calls, but they keep interrupting my podcast and video playbacks. Super annoying.

📲 Context: In France, we can send a report by text (SMS) message to the short number "33700" which is managed by a not for profit funded by the major telcos. It is the same number for reporting SMS spams.
❓Question: When you receive a spamcall on your phoneline (unsollicited commercial or scam), do you have a mechanism to report that call ? In answers please specify your country and the mechanism you are using.
