"#Israele sta portando avanti un piano per raddoppiare le dimensioni di #HarGilo, insediamento a sud di #Gerusalemme. Il nuovo quartiere non dovrebbe collegarsi all'attuale insediamento e gli oppositori del piano sostengono sia in realtà un insediamento completamente nuovo.
Inoltre, il nuovo quartiere sorgerebbe su un terreno considerato sensibile, sia dal punto di vista paesaggistico e ambientale, poiché si trova in una "zona cuscinetto" di un patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO: i terrazzamenti agricoli del villaggio palestinese di #Battir.
Domenica, il Consiglio supremo di pianificazione in Giudea e Samaria ha approvato l'ampliamento della strada che porta ad #HarGilo, in quella che è considerata la prima fase dell'approvazione del piano di espansione dell'insediamento. ⬇2
