I'm going to spoil the biggest mystery of Baccano! "Where is Dallas Genoard?" It doesn't matter. He literally has no impact on the plot. The series just tricks you into thinking he's going to somehow tie everything together.

The biggest issue I had with Baccano! is that it has way too many "main" characters. Most of these characters aren't actually that important. And, some of them don't add anything of value to the plot.

Baccano! is way more complicated than it needs to be. It's not that difficult to follow. But, through writing this review, I realized it's very challenging to explain in a way that captures everything going on.

#Introduction part 2
I watch a lot of #anime. I tend to favor #Comedy #SliceOfLife #Introspective shows but I branch into other genres (not a fan of shonen/seinen or mahou shoujo though). Some faves are #Steins;Gate #ErgoProxy #Monogatari series #In/Spectre #Baccano #Konosuba #NonNonBiyori #Spice&Wolf #MyTeenRomanticComedySNAFU #SpyXFamily
Also like video games, mostly #RPGs: Final Fantasy, NieR, Persona, Valkyrie Profile, Xenogears. Also Resident Evil, Prince of Persia, Ghost of Tsushima.

Halfway through #Baccano and I don't think I understand anything in the #anime. A highly nonlinear narrative full of flashforwards, flashbacks, and subplots in reverse chronology. I have to watch it twice or even check the original manga to fully understand it - but I think I'm not going to do that... I just don't have the brainpower, unlike some people I follow, who seem to know as much about the x86_64 microarchitectures as they know about the technical details of various anime/manga universes...
