@Scofisticated #RoosterFighter is definitely a Viz thing. They're on the production committee for that #anime. I imagine Adult Swim probably put a little money towards its production in exchange for first-run broadcast rights, but not enough to be on the committee, similar to #SpaceDandy.

The only upcoming animated Max Originals I can think of are the ones tied to the DCU and maybe some more Adventure Time, since that seems to be the only successful CN franchise on HBO Max.

Back when I was a teen, I used to watch TV. This one time I was up late to watch Space Dandy, and It was an episode about Ramen.

I was so inspired by this particuliar episode and the message it taught that I decided to make my own ramen, during the commercial break.

So i took the maruchan ramen noodles out of its package and boiled them and added my own seasonings and such to make something new. It actually tasted really good.
The lesson in that episode was right, ramen is all about the broth and what you put in it. Not the noodles, meat, veggies or eggs etc. you add to it.

The thing we often fail to notice, the thing we often discard or see as something lesser, is actually the best part of the dish and the biggest source of the flavor. The broth is what makes Ramen special.

I'm reaching the end of the second season of Space Dandy.

And I absolutely love it!
I think I'm baffled on how this works, but every episode adds layer and layer of complexity to this dumb space Johnny Bravo, and the result is outstanding.

Animation aside (that it's mindblowing, please don't think this as an overstatement, but a humble understatement), the whole package it's great. It might become one of my favorite series.

So in my #anime experiment of making myself sample various things available on Crunchyroll which expanded beyond the 2 week free trial, I really love #CowboyBebop and I've enjoyed #OnePiece enough to watch 7 or 8 episodes or so thus far, and I've only watched a couple episodes but I dig the humor and sometimes psychedelic vibes of #SpaceDandy and will continue working on it.

There's a handful of things I tried and episode or two of and was just like "No, this is far too anime for me" though.

Also, #SpaceDandy, which I actually have the discs for. I think part of what blocked me when thinking earlier is that I was also trying to find a series that had a similar hopefulness for the future that Star Trek has.
