So, women's dresses.
Contrary to popular belief (in which I mean that irritating guy on social media who thinks women are dressing too slutty), there is a difference between sexy and lewd.
I research a lot of outfits for women (yes I dress my characters based on their personality), and there is a difference between a reasonable outfit and whatever is on the hub.
Take for example the humble miniskirt. A lot of cool outfits come from it.

You know, something I never considered in a fantasy world is when it comes to armor, how would a male blacksmith take the measurements of a woman? Like is it just accepted that it would happen or would there be hesitation from both sides.

I'm curious about something. Should merfolk be considered part of the beastfolk race, or their own separate race? Something I started thinking about when I sat down to think about how races interact in my story

Do you ever have a concept for a character that just refuses to let you go?
That's me with a beastkin seer who uses ghosts and wisps as a way to enhance her own shows as an idol.#WritingCommunity #FantasyAuthor #AuthorThoughts #ADHDAuthor

Are there any names out there, male or female, that are pronounced differently between languages or even within a language? For example Caroline/Carolina.

I think I want to do a post on jealousy in fictional relationships because some of these characters pass from jealousy to toxic possessiveness.
Got this from a manga I had to stop because the "main" love interest was too much of a walking red flag for me to suspend my belief.

When it comes to characters, I believe that a character's personality carries more weight to a reader than their perceived archetype. In this post, I talk about why I believe this is.

Sometimes when I create a character, I start with a name. That name dictates personality, dress style, behavior, etc. It's honestly interesting how much a name can sum up a character's whole mood.
Also matching up a character to a name is fun in its own way.

Debating the merits of fast drafting a book in August.
Is this a good idea or is it insane???

#AuthorThoughts about #HiveSocial:
• If you are an #author trying to build a following, the lack of a Hive desktop app is going to handicap you because it's going to severely limit your visibility. Only others who have a Hive account as well will ever see anything you post there.
• You can't ever share a link to your Hive posts anywhere outside of Hive Social to tell people about your new release. Again, only others who have a Hive account will see those posts.
