I just tried to watch #aquaman2. I couldn't even get past the first 5 minutes. It was laughably bad. Really bad. No wonder WB is losing money left and right! I am a huge #JasonMamoa fan. Even that couldn't overcome the cringe. He should have just walked away from that massive paycheck and saved everyone a lot of trouble. What a shame.

Just watched Aquaman 2. Between monster people riding bigger monsters, & tons more monsters, & a Lost Kingdom, there's a lot for me to like. But over & over, the most glaring thing is the sidelining of Mera. It all would have worked much better with way way more Amber Heard.
Also the "Environmental" message of the Aquaman 2 really feels like it was either written by, or signed off on by, the oil industry, for the purpose of muddying the issue and making it feel silly.

We went to see #Aquaman2 as a family. It is really unimaginably horrible, and this is made worse because there were obviously a huge number of incredibly talented people working on it. You could see their effort in the little Easter eggs and details they added. It’s just too bad the film was such a mess!

My expectations for #aquaman2 were low, with all the production hell rumors & cold critical acclaim. Turned out, I liked it much more that 1st one. I remember how exhausted I was when walked from cinema in the 2018, and couldn't believe the movie earned a billion. Nothing like that this time, despite it also catched sequel disease of comicbook movies we see this year. It actually was fun, unlike 'The Marvels', that were surprisingly boring movie. #DCEU can rest finally. It ended on the good note

Leider soweit ich wahrgenommen habe nur eine Zeitlupe und die ohne viele perlende Wassertropfen. Dafür unerwartet viele extreme Nahaufnahmen was eigentlich ganz angenehm war, wenn diese Körperlichkeit im Film etwas für einen ist. Insgesamt recht kurzweilig. Aber waren ja auch "nur" 124 Minuten. Für Leute wie mich, die vom ersten Teil alles vergessen haben gab es auch ein kurzes was bisher geschah und einen positiven Grundton am Anfang und am Ende hatte es auch. #aquaman2

The difference is that the Marvel's had a huge marketing campaign leading all the way up to release and after, while Aquaman was clearly abandoned by Warner months ago.
