I didn't hate those films, well all of em anyway, but mercing Jimmy Olsen by shooting him unnamed in the face in front of Lois seemed disrespectful. Every word Pa Kent said seemed highly disrespectful of all involved characters.

Don't believe the hype folks. Peacemaker season 2 is great fun. The big narrative twists totally caught me napping (oof, a knee to the implicit bias, right where it hurts), and although there wasn't as much plot as in season 1, there was a lot more character development.
The score continued to be awesome, and the new opening title dance number grew on me. As I got to know the new characters, I found myself having different reactions to their part in it.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is another David F. Sandberg film that has an issue with it's opening. I just reviewed his film Until Dawn and if you can survive the not so good dialogue of the first couple of scenes, you are in for a very good movie. This film has a similar issue.
