On a aussi regardé #TheMarvels et là, malheureusement, c'était pas fameux. Dommage car j'aime bien les trois héroïnes, mais le film est bien trop décousu. CW: The Marvels + Spoilers
This whole Marvels thing is clearly leading to an X-Men movie, especially as Ms. Marvel seems to be a mutant, which is VERY exciting! Though it may be in a parallel universe, so it's a little tough to care.
I just finished The Marvels and it was pretty good! I've been waiting to see Captain Marvel in a more powered role. But there's one thing that I was left wondering: what happened to the other bangle?

I’m a bit disappointed that some fun #MCU films as of late have gotten such a lackluster response, #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld was also a fun watch. But I think after so many incredible #MCU films, both #Marvel and #DC fans ( #BlueBeetle was such an underrated superhero origin story film!) want something either better or different than what came before, and “good, fun movie” isn’t cutting it, as unfair as that might be.

Since I saw Captain America 4 was coming out on Disney+ tomorrow, I decided to catch up on the MCU movies and watched The Marvels last night. What a really weird movie (from a Hollywood franchise stand point). It wasn't good per se, though parts of it were enjoyable. Interesting that it's villain was basically executing the plot of Spaceballs.

Don't get me wrong, I liked #Thunderbolts*. But it's mid-level #MCU at best. Which isn't bad, there's a lot of good movies in the mid-range. But it's no #Endgame. Or even the best since "Endgame" (that would be #TheMarvels or #Spidey4). It's more like #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld.

Pas plus mauvais que beaucoup de films du #mcu en tout cas.
L'alchimie entre les trois persos centraux fonctionne bien.
La jeune Iman Vellani éclate tout dans le rôle de Kamala Khan.
Les scènes de baston sont bien foutue.
Comprend pas pourquoi le film s'est fait autant descendre à sa sortie.
Ce serait pas parce que l'histoire tourne autour de 4 meufs et que ça faisait bobo au petit cœur des mascus fragiles ?!
Je n'ose le croire...

I liked Brie Larson as "Captain Marvel" in that movie, but I *really* love this one.
The Flerkens are the sort of thing that make me love comicbook stories, the sheer absurdity and the suspension of disbelief required.

I just finished G. Willow Wilson's run on the comicbooks a couple of years. Iman Vellani is wonderful as Kamala Khan, capturing her fan geek moments perfectly. And the actors playing her family are great, showing their family strength and toughness in such a weird situation.

Remembering my initial reaction to #TheMarvels last year and totally stand by it -
There was a lot to like about #TheMarvels but the thing I absolutely most loved was the absolute joy they get from each others' company. It is almost tangible. A delight to experience -
It's #SpookySciFiSaturday! A good bit of horror and sci-fi in my viewing line-up. #TheMarvels, #StarTrekLowerDecks, #SilverBullet, and #AnAmericanWerewolfInLondon all made my list. How about you? #StarTrek #SciFi #nerdlyfe

Because all it needed was some script tweaking and a couple of the scenes re-shot to be tighter/acted better. Oh and the power scaling fixed, because WTF happened there. But overall, it was enjoyable. #MCU

Je suis le premier à comprendre la lassitude autour de l’Univers cinématographique Marvel qui ne cesse de grossir et pas toujours de la meilleure manière. J'ai toutefois du mal à comprendre le désamour pour The Marvels, un film pas trop long pour une fois, qui ne se prend pas trop au sérieux et que j'ai trouvé fort divertissant, malgré quelques défauts évidents.
De là à penser que les rôles majoritairement féminins ont joué un rôle dans ces avis négatifs…
