Fire Activity: Fire crews are working diligently completing tasks on the line during some very hot weather and fire activity is slowing. Fuels remain dry and able to support fire. Although the fire will not be as aggressive, spread is still possible. Gusty winds may cause an increase in fire behavior and spread in any direction.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office Joint Information Center is providing information about evacuation notices and road closures. For the most up to date evacuation information visit nocoalert.org or text LCEVAC to 888777.

The fire remains 9,668 acres with 32% containment.

Highlights: There was no western movement of the fire overnight. Crews focused on structure protection in communities and along Highway 34 and extinguishing hot spots near Cedar Park. Crews are making great progress on containment lines and will continue to strengthen handlines while monitoring for additional hot spots. Please remember the use of unauthorized, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), or drones, in a fire area endangers the lives of pilots and firefighters. Never fly uncrewed aircraft over or near a fire.

From SW Area Incident MGM T Team 1:

The fire is now 9,530 acres, but has not crossed Highway 34. Last night fire crews focused on installing pumps & other water equipment near values at risk along Highway 34. Crews will continue to monitor…around Cedar Park & extinguish hotspots. Over 5 miles of handline have been completed along the east side.

Fire Activity: The fire continued to be active overnight, slowly flanking to the west. Elevated fire behavior is expected once again with the dry condition of fuels. Crews have completed work on a critical portion of the fire line near Storm Mountain Rd in prep for a burnout.
