Yesterday, I was officially diagnosed with #adhd and am now sitting with that to contemplate the next steps.
I feel like I'm meeting myself for the first time.

I've never mourned anything more, never been as disheartened, never more confronted with a deeper sense of loss than when the overwhelming and intoxicating power of coffee-fuelled, world-beating potential begins to fades away in the late morning, and I'm left clawing at the last molecules of motivation – while further coffees, no matter the number or the timing or the dosage, do little more than offer up, meekly and limp-wristed, a pale imitation, a mere facsimile, of the sensation.
Wait, I forgot to take my ADD meds this morning. Saved!

After reading a bunch of #introduction 's, I just want to send big happy vibes to all the folks out there who can't (or dont want to) describe themselves in a single sentence. 🤩🤩🤩 All the polymaths, jack's of all trades, #schooloflife students, and the folk who haven't worked out what they want to do when they grow up. I'm trying to rely more on hashtags here but so far I'm feeling like #adhdmastodon is lacking what I sought out #adhdtwitter for. As someone with a late in life diagnosis, the content creation, explainers and memes really helped me understand what having #ADHD and what being #nurodivergent means. All of those producers had some sort of business agenda and this doesn't seem like the place for that (which I greatly appreciate). But I am dreading going to #instagram for this content because then I get served 1000 targeted ads and it has a bad vibe. Maybe it is here and I haven't found it yet or maybe I'm just going to have to live without that, time will tell I guess.
