  2. Media Conference:

… I don’t think the individual Police officers are the problem. I think the larger organisation needs to be scrutinised further about its training, and what it deems ‘appropriate’.

The ‘active incident’ in a general area does not excuse the heavy-handling of what occurred on a peaceful, incident-absent bus.

As consequence, an innocent person was injured AND traumatised. This should be considered heavily.

  3. Very disappointing: The racial profiling. The lack of due process. The lack of professionality. The lack of dignity and respect for the ‘suspected’.

One way or another the students and teachers will continue on. The biggest question that has my interests, however, is the consequences that the members of the Board will face… the-riotact.com/next-steps-for

A milder example, but still a reminder about why Australian corrections facilities are a toxic place for ‘corrections’ and ‘rehabilitation’.

  6. CW: Cyclists and Motorist - Saving a few seconds or causing death/injury?

Sharing the road with Cyclists (and other road users):

    Motorists,
you save somewhere between 30 seconds to 5 minutes, rushing past cyclists on the road without care.
Is the time saved really worth the trauma and criminal sentence?

  7. The fact of the matter is that the current older generation of Australians (Millennial and older) have all been raised to understand Public intoxication as a criminal justice issue, rather than a health issue.

If Australian Political circles, State and Federal, had put more into public awareness and agency reforms towards the idea of intoxication as a health issue needing medical attention, than Barnaby would have most definitely been treated with more respect.

Blaming bystanders just shows our Politicians debate the world from a tall Ivory tower, detached from reality and the history that shaped it.
