I have seen in Mastodon profiles the message: "posts will be auto deleted after x days". Is this then guaranteed, that it's 100% deleted at all the federated servers?
I was just thinking: maybe if pixelfed stories are federated as posts with "being deleted" after 24h. Wouldn't this be a possibility of showing stories to other software, not only to Pixelfed, but Mastodon, Misskey and so on? Would that work @dansup?
I really have to read the activitypub protocol.

Esmu nonācis tik tālu ar savu #AcivityPub ieviešanu . Tāds Proof-of-Concept risinājums. totāli nav rādāms citiem :D
ja nu iztīrītu un visu drošību vēl ieviestu, bet... tas strādā.drīz būs pašam savs #fediverse risinājums. Sāku ar Notes (un Actors).
Un šis ir mans eksperiments - cik ilgi ar AI kopā jāprogrammē, lai kaut ko uztaisītu vs ja izmanto savas zināšanas. Pagaidām ar #AI iet stipri ilgāk un nekvalitatīvāk.

@dejanfreiburg Es gibt Instanzen im #Fediversum, die ermöglichen mehrere Tausend Zeichen und unterstützen auch #Markdown. Das kommt immer darauf an, welches System das #ActivityPub bedient.
Und nur, weil dein System mehr als x Zeichen nicht erlaubt, stellt es trotzdem x * 100 Zeichen dar.
(Vielleicht ohne das Markdown, aber zumindest den Text.)
Ich stimme zu, dass lange Texte eher in einen Blogbeitrag gehören & über #AcivityPub verfügbar sein können (z.B. WriteFreely oder WordPress + Plugin). -

International there's @pfefferle, who among other things authored the #AcivityPub plugin for #WordPress IIRC
