  1. @sujee i will look at soapbox, thanks. also heard of a new one (perhaps the same one) that i can't remember the name, just a few weeks ago, developed with the intention of refactoring pleroma but focusing on an objective similar to minimalism i think. completely forgot to follow through, i have to go over my bookmarks... better to leave this to another thread: #soapbox 🤣

you can see everything #ahoxus as *like* a hobby of mine and *like* my entrepreneurship, and job, and lots of things in between and around both. #aloze first stage there i have been applying to ahoxus home and my free time, when i get enough aligned with full energy (which doesn't happen very often), will go all to rebuilding all the website with that (which could use a name in itself, perhaps #freehtml?)

absolutely zero rush, as i managed to get all my digital work as non essential to life, luckily, thanks to #ahoxus... and i definitely want every hand i can get to help with such things. currently got the amazing @kcubeterm who do such work on the backend here and on #achoz, for instance. freehtml requires no knowledge of software building, programming language, or command lines... it only requires time, patience, and ability to explore, all of which i know you already do because you told me about soapbox.

as for #buddha and ahoxus, i love your connections all around there! 🥰 will look at the video as well. i personally never read almost anything from any religion, including the #bible, nor any #philosophy... but all those ones of thoughts that exist for so long, they circle everyone's minds in one way or another. and i adore to explore them all.

more comments to come soon, under the hashtags, to break up this thread in better smaller pieces... 😘🙏
  2. @delta hey again!

i bring you an #idea today.

when we block a contact, let us still see the emails, and even search for them, in a separate format, like it happens with archived, but labeled as "blocked" and collapsed.

i want to block some spam and some contacts, but sometimes i might want to unblock. and i might look back, serendipitously, to old messages for doing that.

    (similar ideas i apply on #uproot #achoz)
  3. for the longest time now, i will to build an app to organize our "data energy".

something i have called #achoz #uproot and other names.

today, it will ideally start as a fork of kiss launcher, and greatly improve only the search.

intelligently search through emails, files, contacts, and everything. #offlinefirst of course.

and it will also help to clean up after itself. keep a small data footprint: remove old stuff from the index, serendipitously add them back, gradually less, until we finally trash them, to get reviewed in the end of each day or week, for complete deletion.

in my case, over the years. a lot of people might prefer over a few days or months, depending how much storage you want to dedicate to it. default to 100mb, but i want to use at least 2gb. #mobileonlylife

it should run on android 10, 11, and 12. a termux app *might* suffice! just perhaps...

soon (2023 at most), it should also run on my next mobile device, which will be gnu+linux but perhaps not ubuntu touch.

ports to all other devices we shall leave to forks. simple and efficient ux should make it easy.

@kcubeterm have been helping a lot, but i want to accelerate the process, if possible, by finding more people willing to join the development...
  4. #selfnote #pubiclife #toomanyhashtags

just updated my profile with minor changes...

such as linking to https://ahoxus.org/~cregox#ssl instead of // or http and a comment "non ssl on purpose"... will add next a ssl hash link on the bottom linking to the top "did you miss the top warning?" 🤣

but anyway, i started this post to #comment on why #ahoxus led to no posts?! pretty sure i did post it at least once.

in any case, ahoxus.org houses all my projects and the home page needs to get seriously revamped into gemini style.

here i wanted to name a few of my hustles: #land #paradise #uproot #aloze #abotz #achoz #laundry and the newest one probably here named for the first time #webhome = for name server, basic #tilde hosting, email, and #fediverse of course.

also, a self public/transparent reminder: i hate how content doesn't get properly versioned, like #writefreely, pleroma profile editing, and hate how pleroma still doesn't work without javascript (as far as i can tell).
  5. #list #catalystic #ideas #firstcompilation #hugedraft

this will need to be written at writefreely or some better tool to keep improving, editing, adding, and removing items...

but today i will just post this draft here, raw. please 🐻 with me!

i will try to think of ideas from other people, but who can tell if "my" ideas belong to me to begin with? i certainly don't want them to. everything i do gets #fupl license, to make sure they belong to nobody.

first one in my list: #aloze i only hope to see something in those lines in my lifetime, because we certainly could make it real as soon as 10 thousand people start using it instead of any other money, among themselves. first step only needs 10 to 100 people.

i wanted to make this list now because of an addendum: i've mentioned how to solve the #identity issue and the need to make it more like regular cryptos early on to solve the #adoption issue... and, on the mining aspect, it will need to work like something i will develop for mining all other cryptos, my favourite source of entropy, the unnamed god of all creations: #chaos.

unnamed because #randomness gets so big that it doesn't represents only creation. anything we don't understand or can't recognize the pattern gets labelled as chaotic. but there exist many kinds of randomness and we can even see the different patterns among them, just not within.

the chaos i try to always speak of, however, you must have guessed by now: yes, creation. some call it agency, creativity, intelligence, whatever. if it gets predictable by everyone, we don't call it any of that. if only a few people can see it coming, then they will be called intelligent of some sort. if nobody see it coming, then we call it chaos. most of creation, including agency, comes from there.

so #aloze might need to get regulated exclusively by #randomness / #chaos *per person*, regardless of how many coins they already have to inject energy or entropy in their own quest to mine coins. perhaps it will fail at trying to do so, in the end it will not matter. but if we can make it happen, it will certainly accelerate the whole process. because the more fair the game for everyone, the more people will want to play it sooner.

yes, it have to start gamified. that is the whole point of mining.

the other ideas have no particular order... and i won't list the non-catalytics ones in here, such as #ahoxus or #abotz. none have so much potential, of course, but they still might get made earlier.

a catalyst serves to accelerate a chemical reaction to the point the reaction might even never happen otherwise.

#achoz the idea gets as simple as complex. a tool to organise all your own data. starting with a fast way to search through it all.

#boccara i've talked about jürgen before. the energy machines he envision to build using low tech and cheap to free materials will certainly change everything when we, humans, can finally build them.

too many more TK, no will to continue right now. 🥺
  6. over 1 year ago i started to move heads first into what i will now call low tech.

    [
this movement actually started back in 1981 in me, but regained a lot of strength in 2019, when i moved radically away from high tech. i sold my beloved chromebox, and never had anything like a desktop ever since.

i lived for 1 year in a small town by the ocean, with a beach front amazing rented apartment for just 300€ per month. the town had 450ish residents, and over 2000 living during summer...

and i moved to tamera. the most amazing ecovillage in the world, i hear and trust, with a bit more than 200 loving humans (not just residents) and, still, a lot of confusion.

i got to meet and know, for the short 3 months i stayed there, at least 16 of them personally, plus over 6 who live nearby... and many more like me who just stayed for some time. made too many friends to count!

back in the beach town, i made 6, perhaps 7 friends. very good result for a regular polis. interesting metrics to measure results of vilas... now i live for 2 years in ahoxus pedrinha, population of 3, with many visitors, and everyone (who still wasn't) quickly became friends, except for a few noisy anonymous neighbors.

anyway... back to the main story...
    ]

almost exactly 1 year ago, i decided to free myself from all digital subscriptions, or as much as i could. and nameserver turned out the only one i could not find a way off. luckily, i found gandi.net, an amazingly good and cheap host.

i had many domains, and i decided to reduce to only one. ahoxus.org

but ended up sticking with cregox.net as well, since most of my content still stands there.

this movement evolved to assimilate #agpl and #fupl as necessities for good free as in freedom software. thanks to fsf, gnu, and above all rms, my distant digital friend #stallman (sadly, i don't know if fsf or gnu can survive without him, still).

and now, time to renew my only subscription, i wanted to look around, see if i can find a better choice...

back then, i thought i had found one already. positive-internet.com

i talked over video with 2 members from their team, per her suggestion, as they said they could help me with my pursue of a partnership for handling my cloud "needs" [i only need the cloud as much as i need to keep in touch with my past and society, which doesn't constitute a real need for me (or anyone)].

after that meeting plus a lot of negotiation and talking over email, we came to a conclusion. 23 of june, she offered me a package. instead of £290 i would only need to pay £65 ex VAT per month!

    😒

i can't even find, or bother to look further, for the reply that i know i gave them. but i can only guess i said something "thanks, but no. please let me know when and if you ever get to your senses".

i now have a better structure for less than 30eur on gandi.net and the amazing hub for good on digital ocean, in which they gave ahoxus all we could ever need in cloud hosting (except for domain and email which i get in gandi) in "exchange" for the free discovery/non-commercial-advertising i will continue to do for them.

however, we still need more people to work together on building up on top of that whole structure. for now, we only have me and @kcubeterm, and way more ideas than we can materialize. even the simpler ones such as #abotz and #achoz.

so i went ahead to look around, and recalled about ipfs and opennic, asking with lbry name resolution, all of which still don't use #agpl or #fupl like every software must, but great ideas nonetheless that i need to keep watching. they still haven't evolved nearly enough for me to make use of.

i also found about afraid.org, which will be today my last attempt to reach out. but if i will switch from gandi to there, i will still need a new email provider! or, ideally, build something on digital ocean.

in all cases, my main work for the next month will be: dismantling cregox.net into ahoxus; removing ahoxus from github into sr.ht, and finally; making write as naked domain, if i can at least add images to it and keep edition history (forget versioning, although that means basically what i wanted when i say it in this context).

i will be very happy if i can do just the dismantling!

after all that, i can go back to the idea of building up the server structure for achoz. perhaps after summer.

    [
and, now that i wrote all this...

it will probably be a good idea to start building the ahoxus laundry at regia douro park.

even before building freedns.ahoxus.org, which i wrongly-ish named above as "server structure for achoz"... because i probably will need more specialised and harder to find help with the freedns than with the laundry.

    still thinking about it...
