project two:
I bought this top at a thrift store bc I loved the pattern, but the metal cylinders in the neckline are cold and I wasn't a huge fan of how it looked. I took them out, and hand sewed a HUGE amount of black lace in their placeit's SO fluffy!

shabbat shalom!
currently hanging out with close friends for a stitch & bitch/artsy craftsy hangout
I've got a few projects that I'm going to work on:
- a vintage handkerchief that I bought recently that has some lacy crocheted edging that I want to replace
- a shirt that I'm going to add some decoration to
- my current knitting project
- a small writing projectI'm definitely going to work on the first two, and I'll post some photos

I think I'm calling this project 3? it's the third thing I've finished, so 🤷🏻
I wanted to do something quick and easy in between my bigger projects ... I ended up changing patterns twice bc I was having a hard time 😅 I'm a much better knitter than I am a crocheter
anyway, this is a yarn I spun from (pre-dyed) wool roving! the pictures honestly don't do the colors justice, but oh well

okay, I overslept and I'm like 40 minutes late for work. I haven't eaten anything yet.
today's chores:
- clear a path to the furnace closet
- scoop litter boxes
- sweep/mop kitchen
- take out trash
- fold and put away clean laundry
- vacuum
- dishesthere's probably more, but let's start there, I guess ... and I should definitely eat something before I work on all that
AND I'm nearly done with my first #100DaysOfWardrobe project! expect a photo later today!

I do not understand how I keep finding More Yarn. I've gone through about half the boxes, and managed to empty one box just by taking out a bunch of #fabric and #yarn. of course, I don't have anywhere for the fabric to go, which is why it was in one of those boxes. I have three very large Rubbermaid-style tote boxes stuffed with fabric, and my #100DaysOfWardrobe is just as much about busting my #FabricStash as it is about my #YarnStash

update on day one of #100DaysOfWardrobe:
I actually spent a large portion of today #knitting (and listening to podcasts), and it was nice!
the first image is from the pattern, and the second is a close up of my #WIP. I'm using a slightly scratchy, bulky weight, 100% wool yarn, Mauch Chunky, and the color pictured is Eggplant. I don't have enough of that one color for the whole thing, so the arms will be a different color, but I think it'll work

good morning, 12 inches of snow!!! (#SaltLakeCity is predicted to get another 4-9 inches of snow today???)
good thing I don't have to leave my house if I don't want to. good thing I picked up my groceries yesterday.
I am quite tired today. BUT my plans for today include starting a new #fiberArts piece for both #fiberuary and #100DaysOfWardrobe ... I just have to check my yarn stash, and then I'll post more about it. maybe I'll make some tea first 😴

some pieces I have in mind: a Chanukah sweater, a button down shirtdress, an asymmetrical knit vest, an old-timey swim outfit
I'll be using #100DaysOfWardrobe for the project. I likely won't update every day, but I'll try to post at the beginning and end of each piece, and I'll definitely post photos of me wearing the finished pieces

#100DaysOfWardrobe is my #100DaysProject, starting February 22. I'm planning on spending 100 days working on clothing pieces
🧶 mediums: knit, crochet, sewing, weaving
🧶 parameters: everything I make must be wearable; using up my stash is better than buying new yarn/fabric
🧶 scale: this is a HUGE undertaking, but with a range of project sizes from mending or altering existing clothes to designing and creating an entire outfit from scratch1/2
