Paynter's model eminds me of CSA in agriculture - they only make the clothes that are bought beforehand and only release a new batch four times a year. Clothes worth waiting for. @sinchens_ Ja, die Zeit blieb stehen und „die Macher der Tuche“ wurden nach 1945 bewusst ausgebremst und ausgenommen (eigentlich ging fast der gesamte Maschinenpark als Reparation nach Russland, die damit gar nichts anfangen konnten). Einige Unternehmen versuchten aus den verbliebenen Schrottteilen nach 1945 wieder etwas zu machen, wurden aber als „Kapitalisten“ gebranntmarkt und ausgebremst. Dazu die Textilkrise. Heute denkt hier leider kaum jemand über #SlowFashion und das Potential dieses Ortes nach bzw diejenigen, die diese Chance erkennen, haben keine Mitstreiter.

Ein weiterer Riss in meiner Sommerjeans – und eine weitere Gelegenheit, Kleidung länger zu nutzen.
Zur Stabilisierung habe ich innen mit Sashiko-Stichen einen Flicken aufgenäht, den Riss mit einfachen Stichen geschlossen und anschließend einen sichtbaren Flicken darüber gearbeitet. So wird aus einer beschädigten Stelle ein neues Detail mit eigener Geschichte.
Der Stoff zeigt inzwischen auch auf der anderen Seite erste Verschleißspuren. Statt die Hose auszusortieren, repariere ich sie weiter – Stich für Stich.
Nachhaltigkeit beginnt oft mit kleinen Entscheidungen. 💙
