Sigh, I'm struggling with a Thing I don't like in my life, friends, but I can't change it. Well. Not immediately (unless I'm willing to face some really unpleasant consequences, and I'm not).
I can work towards changing said Thing but that will take time, and meanwhile, I need to be OK with the status quo. This is unsettling and annoying because I've really reached the end of my tether with the Thing.
I need to focus on radical acceptance/gratitude/what good I have in my life over the next few days. Currently I'm journalling, writing lists of 'things I love and are good in life', spending time with my favourite folk, planning some gardening...
any other tips will be greatly appreciated. This is taking up a lot of energy and it's demoralising and sad.

eyyy, so far I've done:
✓ eat breakfast
✓ have therapy
✓ Blanket Time™ with Midna
✓ get dressed
- stay home until cannabis is delivered
- go to The People's Coffee to work on #writing stuff/character sketches for my #monsterhearts2 one-shot this weekendI've actually done a little bit of character work for the game: writing lists of simple, divisive motivations for side characters. I still want to: finish the list of names, come up with scene location ideas, and maybe flesh out one or two scene ideas in case my players are shy about starting the game
Monsterhearts is like a nice halfway point between, say, D&D and the DMless games¹ I've been facilitating, in terms of "DM" prep. like, I don't *need* to prep for hours before running a game, BUT, I find having, like, lists of names really helpful

I'm gonna try resurrecting my #LifeStuff hashtag. for newer followers, I use it as an attempt to give myself accountability to get things done, and it usually involves a checklist of things I want to get done, like:
- eat breakfast
✓ have therapy
✓ Blanket Time™ with Midna
- get dressed
- don't forget I'm getting cannabis delivered
- go to The People's Coffee for a couple hours before work to work on #writing stuff/character sketches for an #RPG I'm running this weekend (#Monsterhearts by Avery Alder)I read once that you should include things you've already done in to-do lists for a dopamine hit ... I don't know how well it works, but I like doing it, so 🤷🏻
anyway, therapy was good, Blanket Time™ was had, so I guess I should put on clothes and eat some cereal while I wait for the cannabis delivery

so apparently there's another apartment in my building with HVAC issues, and they were supposed to come to my apartment first, but there was a misunderstanding or something, and they're at the other place

it's fine, I just wish I could have woken up at a reasonable time 🙃🥲
anyway, now I'm going to a) continue listening to Clockwork Boys by T Kingfisher and b) fight monsters in Hyrule until the HVAC folks show up 🤷🏻

oh I finally got my blood drawn and guess what? I'm #anemic!
my B12 is normal, but low-normal, and my D is also low, but my iron saturation is at 9%, so that's fun! I'm supposed to start vitamin D supplements and my psychiatrist sent a message to my doctor's team about the iron thing
in the meantime, J has also been dealing with low iron/anemia, so they gave me some suggestions about how to deal with that ...
