It centers around the question, “But what if?” that has plagued me for years.

If you’re observing, may your Shabbat be meaningful and restful. Happy weekend to all.

    • Review parking and accessibility information.
    • Contact the congregation if you have questions about dress, childcare, or visitor accommodations.

  3. (from last night)

Random Reflections from hour #2 of #ShavuotLive

The experience of time and memory is so subjective. It is not fixed at all in our lived experience, which is amplified by some through being either neurodivergent or by having a mind-altering experience (such as that spurred by meditative pracitce or drug use).

Enjoying the peaceful evening. It's overcast here, cool and damp. #Oklahoma can be a nice place sometimes.
Also, it's not long until #Shabbat.

  4. Three times I tried. Three times I failed. And now I finally see why—beautiful things reveal themselves in their own slow, inconsiderate time.

    כָּל הַדְּבָרִים הַיָּפִים בֶּאֱמֶת מִתְגַּלִּים בִּזְמַנָּם הָאִטִּי, הַבִּלְתִּי מִתְחַשֵּׁב
All the truly beautiful things reveal themselves in their own time.

If you’re on attempt two, three, or ten—don’t give up. It’s not failure. It’s gathering.

And when it finally comes together? You’ll see why it took this long.

    Shabbat Shalom 💙

  5. The Sabbath. So often, we busy ourselves with rote actions: we read a devotional, we read a passage from the Bible, or we pray—out of obligation instead of devotion. But we very rarely practice rest. For the majority of the week, our time and attention is consumed by work of one kind or another. So, in participating in the Sabbath, we need to set firm boundaries that separate that day from work.
