  1. Good morning Mastodon!

I've started working on a battle simulator in recently. If all goes well I'm planning to share some stuff about it in the near future.

"Games on web stack?", you ask? You might be surprised there's a whole community around it. aka Persistent Browser-Based Games over at pbbg.com

Feel free to drop by the Discord there if you're a curious developer or web games player!

  2. I felt I wanted a change on my secondary computer (a mini PC I use for gaming) from my valve VGUI/AmigaOS combo theme, and felt like going for a Windows 7 look. Why 7 in particular? Just because I missed Aero with it's frosted glass-like transparency around the windows/taskbar and the 3D-ish close/minimise/maximise buttons of old. I'm pretty please this kitbash of several Win7-inspired theme assets looks - stars I missed Windows Aero! :apartyblobcat:

  3. The henchmen's pathfinding feels better in EE than in original. Maybe it was just my imagination? Still, I was looking for a new henchmen AI enhancement mod that can be used with the original campaign, to at least give them the ability to switch weapons in melee range.

Played with Philos' Enhancing Player System for some time, it feels quite nice so far. It gives you customizable options to control everyone individually, or you can set up their tactics through dialogues like henchmen mods from the old days.

  4. I'm not sure if it was my build's problem or something, some fights seem to be harder than I remembered? Maybe it's just Ranger was a weaker class in the 3rd Edition. I even turned down difficulty to normal, I should have stockpile Healing Kits like I used to. But you should more likely to be hit by Attack of Opportunity while using a more complex healing method than potions, isn't it? Anyway, I skipped fighting the Swords of Never, used Invisibility, grabbed the artifacts and teleported back.

  5. What if they gave us more depth on the couple in Chapter one, instead of just let Aribeth giving us quests to find the cure. Like, show us more of their relationships and their disagreements, or at least having them talk about each other every time you return. But wasted potentials will have to be filled with your own imaginations.

  11. Today in #Valheim the Draugr Village started getting civilised with stone paths between each building. Still have a bit more to do. #ShareYourGames

  12. It seems fighting that Bloated Dire Spider and Gulnan at level 4 or 5 was a bit early. All the traps, potions, healing kits, and kitings won't do the trick. What really saved the day was henchman/summoning sacrifice... Thank you very much Tomi.

  13. Other early preparations for a future battle with Yagluth involved removing a Fuling village and planting a lot of birch trees. I may plant a lot more yet. #Valheim #ShareYourGames

  14. The first issue of the Japanese Sega Saturn magazine is finally finished.

These will take quite a bit longer to complete since these are roughly 200+ pages and take around 10 hours just to scan them, at at the very least just as many to straighten and crop them, without additional editing needed afterwards.
But it's a labour of love, so they will keep coming as long as I have issues to work on.

So without further ado, here is the first issue:
Sega Saturn Magazine - セガサターンマガジン 1998-01-02 Vol.01 (Japan)

    Enjoy! 😘

  18. I was looking for a small but content-rich game that can run on my tiny leftover storage space, that also has a native Linux installer... Sadly many of the newer ones were too big.

It's been a long time since I last played Neverwinter Nights. I remembered spent so much time modding it back then, it almost felt like the back of my hand. Yet I also remembered the Toolset could not properly run on my potato PC at the time. I could edit anything but the maps.

Anyway. Trying to play it again from the beginning and without too much nostalgia this time.
