  1. Generally, it's no fun when upgrading a project and you find a 3rd party package that breaks/has a bug.

But, it's very reassuring AND appreciated when someone has jumped in and filed a detailed, well-written issue detailing the exact problem you are having.

Nice to find out that I didn't break stuff and I'm not alone.

    Thank you bug reporters!

    I am Everyman
and he is in and of me.
    This is my faith,
    my strength,

  4. There's always one tiny bit.
A fractured phrase that no one else has heard.
An incomplete image that no one else has seen.
One memory you possess that no one else remembers.
Four frames of a film seen only by you.
Dropped on the cutting room floor.
    Remember. Pick it up.
Put it in your pocket and carry it with you.

Probably been over a decade since I've run through The Magnetic Fields - 69 Love Songs.
Still a wonderful collection of tunes.

  23. CW: politics, USPol, US Politics

Today's newsletter from a writer I follow has a large section on the current situation with Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio.

He covers the recent history, the increased scrutiny on the Haitain members of the community, as well as how the community is organizing resistance against #Trump, DHS, and ICE with links to local organizational resources and opportunies to donate. Worth the read.

Craig Calcaterra is, primarily, a baseball blogger that I've followed for over a decade plus. However, he has always mixed his coverage of baseball with contemporary American politics, and "Gen X" pop culture among other topice. He's a bit goofy, self-effacing, and usually a fun read even if you have zero interest in baseball.

    Check it out.
