Last night there was a terrible collision on the Henry Hudson parkway. The HHP was closed and all traffic diverted to Riverside. This was all done without notice. It proved that six lanes on the HHP are not necessary. The hhp could be converted to a boulevard which would make it much safer and eliminate most of these collisions.

@atthenius Riding down to Union Square was quite the experience. That bike lane is so narrow and we got passed so often.
Made it to City Hall.Returned from City Hall on the Hudson Greenway. It was wonderful but dark and got passed often, usually by powered skateboards and electrified Citibikes. I cannot imagine that being narrower. Exited at 72nd for Riverside Drive. Fairly empty and wasn't passed.

Totally believe the ONLY solution to the grid is #decentralization and in the case of #NYC to have safe #LIFEPo4 batteries in every apartment. Would allow running all variety of electric appliances like #induction stovetops and electric ovens.

Had an enlightening walk down the #BronxChildrensMuseum to #MottHaven and the #MadisonStreetBridge with #NathanKensinger and #MattMalina of organization #NYCH2O. Learned about the recent rezoning seeing results of the rezoning in terms of completed buildings and projects and also learned of the past history of the area.
