Trying to get a Cisco ATA191-MPP connected to a #Microsoft #Teams SIP Gateway and it won’t authorize. It’s a supported device on a supported service, but support replies with “not in scope.” I suspect they don’t get what “supported” actually means. #BangHeadHere

Okay, I got a bit ranty with @[email protected] when I found out that the C9500-24X Network Essentials license doesn’t have VRRP enabled. This was premature. Looking at the data sheet, Network Essentials •does• include VRRP. Now to call TAC and find out why it’s not there. #BangHeadHere #X

Completed day two of teaching my first @mikrotik #MTCNA class. It was a lot of fun, I had great students, and I’m completely exhausted. T-15h until the final day begins.
Pro tip: Indian food for lunch is not a good idea if one wants to keep a good pace in the afternoon. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s looking for a nap right now.

@Wifiwits I don’t think it was ever cheaper… at least not at scale. It has the questionable benefit of outsourcing the responsibility for maintaining servers and their lifecycles, for a price. The “infrastructure as code” angle has some attraction for those large organizations in the top 1% too… and this is where it’s more cost-effective. For everyone else who has convinced themselves that their 250-user mid-market business should run like Google? Reality is starting to make itself apparent. This is why cloud is better viewed as an abstraction than it is as a service. #Cloud #OnPremises #Migration #Abstraction

I just spent a fair bit of cash replacing the power brick and MagSafe cable for my MacBook Air after leaving it plugged into the wall… or so I thought.
