After returning from #MTPC, I started wondering if there would be enough @mikrotik users on this side of the Atlantic to warrant something similar. I’m not convinced yet but, should it that ever change, #RouterOS User Symposium (ROUS) has a nice ring to it… if we can convince people that it exists. #IYKYK

Follow-up: Then, three days later, jumped forward •another• five hours to go to #MTPC. This jet lag is killing me, Smalls… but I’ve done it to myself.

I’ve been selected to present at the #MikroTik Professionals Conference in Prague at the beginning of March. I guess I had best iron out the details of my presentation before then. #MTPC

Safely back home after many months of planning the #MTPC. A week in Prague with three days of #MikroTik training and then two totally amazing days of MikroTik related presentations in Prague and a VIP Dinner. We asked for a show of hands asking if everyone wants to come to another MTPC next year and got a 90% response of yes plus a standing ovation for achieving this at all! It has been very stressful at times. Also very time consuming. Would I do this again? Hell yeah!

Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr died 24 years ago on 19th January 2000. Her greatest film was Samson and Delilah in 1949. But what’s that got to do with my interest in radio though? During WWII with her friend George Antheil they invented spread spectrum frequency hopping by using a paper piano roll! Like as used in the original FHSS 802.11 WiFi and modern day Bluetooth.
