When #abstraction is bad. I want to run #JavaScript #Promise s in sequence, not "parallel". Easy:

let tail = Promise.resolve();
for(.x.) {
tail = tail.then(() => somePromise(x));
}
await tail;

But I wrote a class PromiseSerializer. It got out of hand.
- collect all results
- catch all errors
- allow callback on resolved promise value
- allow aborting
- two variants to add a promise
- document semantics

yet each use site needed maybe two of those. And looked worse than the code above.🤦‍♀️
