Hiking around the west end of the White Rock Canyon Rim trail this morning, scouting trail conditions to see if it's bikeable yet (it's not, still too muddy), we followed a spur trail to discover this delightful mini Fossil Falls, which somehow we'd never seen before. The water sculpts the basalt into smooth graceful curves before plunging off the edge of the falls.

  12. D and I flew a short combat session at the flying field today,. We had one solid contact, which I won -- he immediately glided his combat wing back to the ground while I was still flying. When I brought mine in for a landing, I saw why he'd come in: half his prop was embedded in the nose of my plane.

    No other damage done -- he replaced the prop and we finished the session later (with no more hits).
