If I recall correctly, it was Akkana Peck @akkana who first introduced me to Python, probably around 1998 or 1997 (so something in the neighborhood of Python v1.5) while working together at Netscape (I had a different name back then). **That** turned out to be a life-changing event; so thanks, Akkana!

  11. Dave hates this spot on the Zipline trail (sadly, no actual zipline) where you have to duck under a rock next to a steep dropoff. It doesn't bother me much, but then I'm shorter and can usually just bend over and walk under it.

    (Apparently it's left over from winter, when the trail is for showshoers and skiiers and they don't want hikers messing it up. Not that last winter was ever snowy enough to justify skis or showshoes.)
