I keep having this weird problem where I have one foot in Tailscale and one foot not and that state is complicating my thinking about my homelab.
I'm hesitant to fully commit to it, which means use it when I'm on the LAN because there is no reason things should not just work on the LAN without it and if my Internet is down Tailscale will not work and I don't want my muscle memory and workflows to be based on it.
But realistically, how often is my internet down? It's extremely rare.

I will legit setup Enabling HTTPS certs in Tailscale just to get this #$&%# icon to go away.
I know the traffic is encrypted but stuff like this bugs me enough to take on a whole new project.

I’m trying to get through the #WNBA season without access to ESPN.
Currently getting by with #WNBALeaguePass (the app quality, or lack-thereof kills me) and over the air broadcasts.
I picked up a SiliconeDust #HDHomeRun network-attached TV tuner that’s plugged into my router. Even with a very cheap/tiny antenna it works pretty well.
I can use the HDHomeRun app on my devices/set-top-box/computer and I also added to my #Jellyfin server so I can access it off-network via #Tailscale.

I finally gave in and deployed #tailscale and I was really impressed with the ease of use in getting it set up. I had previously attempted to use #ZeroTier and gave up.
Having done that, I'm expecting a massive security exploit which targets Tailscale.

Had a couple of days of banging my head solving issues, however I now have a working k8s cluster at home, using rancher. Im using #tailscale as my ingress point, which keeps in line with the rest of the infrastructure and helm for deployment.
I have got a couple of vibe coded apps as well as things like termix running in there, prometheus and grafana setup
