Finally gave #cryfs a try for some relatively larger files and realized that it was probably not such a good idea. The whole system slows down while accessing the encrypted directory and after about an hour of struggle (and a forced reboot), it left a "dent" on my volume. Lesson learned: use Cryfs only for smaller files.

@gmate8 The other thing I do is that I look-up a location using #HereWeGo, grab it's coordinates, and use that to navigate in #OsmAndPlus.

@gmate8 For me, I have to also make sure my wife doesn't catch me using an #opensource or private alternative that "sucks" as compared to the proprietary/mainstream tools she uses. So I would've lived with #osmandplus, but location search almost never works. #HereWeGo on the other hand is at least not from #Google and yet provides a similar user experience.

@RandyDandy I couldn't achieve a reliable search using #osmandplus, so had to supplement it with #HereWeGo, and it'll take some time to lose my #GooglePlayStore purchases, so have to login using my #Google account over #AuroraStore.

And oh these desktop effects such nostalgia from #Gnome2 days, I'm definitely going to waste so much of my productive time configuring every single thing down to the smallest detail according to my preference, as much as I won't be even remembering my configuration.

Sometimes my terminal is behaving very oddly that depending on the application I use it has issues rendering Umlaute, other unicode symbols seem to be fine.
I might get something like this instead then: "Leertaste fr n�hste Seite" - like this is one ü just missing and an ä being rendering wrongly but also the c next to it missing. Does someone have an idea? I am on #FreeBSD with #Alacritty and #fishshell - but it doesnt seem to be specific to Alacritty or fish. -

An update of my terminal-frame Emacs package.
- Avoid other buffers being shown in the terminal frame as far as possible for emacsclient, find-file and other-buffer
- Amend the frame title such that we can see how many shells are open in the frame. -
An update of my terminal-frame Emacs package arrived on codeberg, the dedicated terminal frame for Emacs' M-x shell.
Since most action in a terminal window happens at the botton, I moved the minibuffer, rarely used in a dedicated terminal frame, to the top of that frame.

One of my favorite coding fonts, Monaspace, has a new version which includes NerdFonts, so I only need one font for my terminal and it has everything I use for my Starship prompt.
