Made it! I'm very happy with my time: 8:48, thanks to a decent average speed and reducing stopped time to the absolute minimum. I'm pretty dead now.

Tailwind Endurance Fuel is not cheap, but for me it's really one of the few ways to supply me with enough energy during 100+ kilometer rides. I struggle with eating enough while riding, and so having something liquid to supplement my calorie supply really helps. And my stomach tolerates Tailwind just fine. I'm mostly out of Tailwind, and so for tomorrow's ride it'll be fruit jelly, potatoes, knock-off Clif Bars, and the occasional Pepsi at a gas station.

I felt an urge to ride a permanent (and keep my short streak of one permanent ride per month going) and signed up for a 207k ride tomorrow. The weather should be excellent and my legs I think are in decent shape. Last time I did the ride in 9:34 -- not sure if I can beat that time but I think I'll try. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47406640

I finally set up a #HomeAssistant server a few days ago. Nothing too fancy yet but I really enjoy having CO2eq/kWh intensity of the electricity grid on my dashboard and using it to inform when to run the dishwasher (manually).

Somewhat ironically, the only reason for me to boot into the Windows 10 installation on my otherwise-Linux laptop once every few months is to update my SO's academic CV -- with LaTeX and Emacs! Today I finally moved stuff over cloud-based Overleaf.

The temperatures are starting to get too warm for #sourdough #breadbaking, but yesterday I had a very successful bake. I'm finally getting the parameters right after upscaling my Ken Forkish Country Brown recipe by 10%. Good oven spring, fully baked inside, maybe a tad bit light.
