  7. Exhibition: Together Yet Alone

Studio G21 Gallery, Thursday, June 26 at 06:30 PM GMT+2

Forty years after the publication of the Cyborg Manifesto, Donna Haraway’s analyses remain valid. Old forms of oppression have slowly been replaced by new ones: we live in an age of “informatics of domination.” We face a rise in manspherical chauvinism, a decline in trust in science, democracy, and human rights. Online, connected 24/7, we are more together than ever before, and yet alone, each on our own, depressed with our own algorithm. Through the works of four artists, we will look at critical reflections and visions of contemporary technology, which until recently seemed like dystopian science fiction.

Artists: Cornelia Sollfrank, Manu Luksch, Corinne Whitaker (aka Digital Giraffe), Dagmar Schürrer
Curated by ScreenSaverGallery with Andy Gajdosik.

  9. As a collaborator of Screen Saver Gallery I am very happy to spread a little bit that we have an open call for an exhibition slot in SSG.

"The theme Rien faire comme une bête uses the medium of the screensaver as a metaphor to explore radical practices of refusal, inactivity, and “not doing” within art, digital culture, and ecology."

Feel free to relax. Or relax and reply later.

  14. I've been creating a release on GitHub today. When I added the file to the release, it instantly told me there was an error. But the uploading bar strangely glitched below the error message and seemed to actualy work. Finaly the GitHub showed me the file was successfully uploaded... Twice.

I am not a big brain technologist or philosopher, just a regular artist, but it seems to me, that the AI replaced all the people in the Department of glitchfuckery just fine!

    online, středa 5. listopadu v 00:00 SEČ

In Cyborg Manifesto, Donna J. Haraway describes the advent of information technology in industrial society as a shift from “comfortable old hierarchical dominations” to “scary new networks of informatics of domination”. Fortunately for all of us, however, there are also other, more humane networks that exist alongside these scary networks of domination. From queer and crip communities, Roma and Sinti communities, through alternative spaces and protocols, ecology, upcycled home- and community-servers, to groups associated with feminist servers and collaborative learning—these are networks for existence beyond oppression. Networks that are more or less intertwined, networks for life in all its forms and preferences. Networks created by the long-term work of those who dream about another world and refuse to accept the relentlessly dehumanizing logic of patriarchal, ableist, chauvinistic, white-supremacist capitalism. 20. My VPS gets https certs automatically from Cloudflare, it was the most documented way for the Traefik rev proxy.

But I hate myself for depending on CF. Before I start searching, I would like to ask my fellow fediverzens...

Do you recommend any non-profit/ethical/community or at least Europe based alternative to CF & Acme chalanges compatible with Traefik?
