  4. Adapting a loan ladder for boat jobs.

We have 82 days left of our 100 day to launch challenge. Busy day. Returned hire car this morning and did food shopping. Then adapted a fantastic loan ladder - more like a staircase :-) The goal is to be able to move it around the boat to give great access for jobs.

  5. Awesome window progress, more horrible weather. Countdown day 86/100

Despite many heavy hail showers we made great progress. Both forecabin windows are fully bolted in. The first forward heads window is fully dry fitted. The boards to hold in the insulation are marked. Also we have had a big clear up and the forecabin is full as organised storage.

  8. Countdown Day 92 of our "100 days to launch" challenge.
A big start on the interior window frames. Worked on the two for the forecabin and preparation for others. This should stop the gel coat crazing by adding stiffness. Plus it edges and supports the insulation.

  9. Countdown Day 93 of our "100 days to launch" challenge.
We really struggle with applying fibreglass to the underside of things, especially when the shapes are awkward and space is tight. So today was difficult but is done - glassing in the the new deck beam to strengthen the bulkhead where for the inner forestay and windlass loads.

  15. Today's lesson. If you are in a boatyard then get off the boat before cut or drill Tinned Copper to make your own Bus Bar! It takes a lot of time to vacuum up all the shards and does not make you very popular ;-)

  16. The forecast for tomorrow includes 6 hours with a 90%+ chance of heavy rain. Preceded at 10am by a 70% chance of rain.
    Indoor #BoatRefit jobs only!
Fortunately today we made 42 holes in the deck and filled them with thickened epoxy.
These are for 12 solar cables and the waterproof deck covers. We drilled oversize and filled with epoxy so that we can drill smaller holes through the epoxy for cables and bolts.

  17. Feeling the benefits of easier #BoatRefit progress due to living aboard compared to coming for 2 days twice a month. There is so much less time lost to getting started and clearing up.
