"Farage says small business owners who thought Brexit would cut regulation have been betrayed because opposite happened"
Well, just for once, the #FrogFacedGrifter is correct, they were betrayed.
He's going to be so mad when he finds out who it was who promised them that Brexit would cut regulation.

2 observations on watching the lunchtime news from the BBC:
As journalists, it's your job to question assumptions. Please don't present as established fact the assumption that the importance of releasing prisoners from jail by mistake depends mainly on the nationality of the prisoner.
What's happening on Celebrity Traitors this evening is not news, it is a TRAILER, and doesn't need to take up several minutes of a news bulletin.

Yesterday's news: sickness absence, driven in large part by a surge in mental health issues, is costing the UK economy £212 billion a year.
Today's news: NHS mental health services are closing.
If someone thinks that's going to save money, they are going to be sorely disappointed.
Also, quite apart from the money, it's just utterly cruel on a human level.

Happy Guy Fawkes Night to all those who celebrate.
For those not familiar with the tradition, it's when we commemorate the (failed) attempt by Guy Fawkes and his co-conspirators to blow up the Houses of Parliament with barrels of gunpowder.
I will leave it to you to form your own value judgements about whether blowing up the Houses of Parliament is a good thing or a bad thing.
Oh, and stay safe folks. Bonfires can be dangerous

Sickness absence is costing employers £85 billion a year and costing the taxpayer £212 billion a year, but sure, tell me again how it's not cost effective to offer covid or flu vaccines to working age people on the NHS.

CW: UK Politics
And FWIW, I think she does need to raise taxes, even if that breaks a manifesto commitment.
But her dishonesty in pretending all this time that she didn't need to is very disappointing.
Yes, the economy has been knocked sideways by Brexit, covid-19, the Ukraine war, and Liz Truss.
But seriously, which of those things did Reeves not know about when she wrote the manifesto or gave last year's "one and done" budget?

No, Laura, Andrew did not pay the "ultimate price".
You're thinking of Virginia Giuffre.
Andrew is still a free man and living a life of luxury that most of us can only dream about.
