Yes, I really did love this movie. #BarbieMovie I thought it was better than #Oppenheimer, and should have got the best picture.

CW: vulgarity inside
Patriarchy tells everyone: if a woman says or does something a bit more insightful than expected, it's either wrong, or it really can't be -that- insightful/important.
The problem isn't women being themselves, it's patriarchy relentlessly conditioning people to look to men for "how to be in the world" and not see smart women as normal.
so far too many men's dicks shrivel up when they encounter competent women. Newsflash: That's on patriarchy, not women

Ok here go my #introduction
Hello :)
My name is sondra
I find it hard to describe myself when in a very open context, as in a instance that is not very specific to a place or a thing. But this one is gay so let's go with my gay badges:
I am #bisexual and have founded the oldest continuos and still living bi organization of #Brazil, a long time ago with people way more talented than me who still run it (bisides.com)
Now as #immigrant in #Argentina I run a queer antifascist mastodon instance: mariconear (I am @[email protected] there)
I am in the fediverse since 2019 in a brazilian instance and I am the annoying fed person in every group I participate
Still in the alternative arena, I practice #BDSM been working as a professional shibari rigger for some years and now as sex worker.
I am non-monogamous and used to organize a very informal and horizontal #nonmonogamy event.
The not so queer parts of my life:
Love #cinema , live with 2 cats, like to be outside, to sleep early, good #series and eating with friends.
I study #philosophy , like to read sci-fi and have a bunch of proyects that I don't have still the discipline to actually work on.
Also love music, history, art in general, to learn, meet people, to hug, autumn and spring, banana and peanuts.
Ok I will stop now. It is dangerous having so many space to write :p
Nice to meet you!

Self-hosted #AIinference was the talk of #RHSummit this week, but specific cost savings for early adopters, including BNP Paribas and Northrop Grumman, were tough to pin down among the devilish details of migrating and managing #AI workloads in private data centers.
According to Brian Stevens, SVP and AI CTO at #RedHat, the vendor's job is to "put an easy button" on the IT automation portion of that shift, alleviating some of the costs of complexity. A market research report by Omdia shows enterprises are already exploring lighter-weight AI models and self-hosting to avoid cloud-hosted AI budget blowouts.
Still, experts say there's a lot more to account for in self-hosted AI TCO than automation and open source. Check out the full story here: https://www.techtarget.com/searchitoperations/news/366642991/IT-orgs-face-tricky-cost-calculus-for-self-hosted-AI-inference

I’d barely noticed this interesting feature before - looks like somewhere in the Med, rather than Blackpool sea front on what is alleged to be ‘Blue Monday’.
(Shame about the casino sign on it…)
Note to self - ‘Look up, you never know what you might be missing’.

The list of people I can trust to NOT throw me under the bus grows shorter more often than I'd like.

@sylvie for me being #colorblind good contrast is more important than the actual colour. Shape would also be a great help.

PSA: don't require people to distinguish between red/yellow/green in status LEDs etc. Especially if there is no other way to distinguish status (position of LED, flashing pattern, etc). Red-green color blindness is incredibly common (~5% or so of people), much more common than other kinds of color blindness.
I'm not colorblind so can't give specific recommendations, but it seems that green/blue or red/blue are better options if you have to differentiate by color. While there are people who have trouble differentiating between those colors, it's much rarer than red-green color blindness.
