Kedro-Viz 6.3.2 is out! 🔶
We added support for dataset previews and validation for layers in transcoding datasets. In addition, Viz now shows original node input and output names in the metadata panel, and we fixed a number of small issues.
Install it now for Python or JavaScript:

Here we've got utility income statements, before and after pruning the DAG to make it into a nice nested tree. Even without labeling the nodes, it's been really helpful to see the graph structure for debugging errors in the published calculations!

Altair 5.0 is out! 🎉
Vega-Altair (Altair for short) is a statistical visualization library for Python built on top of the Vega-Lite declarative grammar.
This version introduces selection parameters and variable parameters, experimental support for the DataFrame Interchange Protocol (hence compatibility with Polars!), and much more.
You can install it with `pip install "altair==5.0.0"`

pandera allows you to define schemas for your DataFrames, tighten them with rules, and validate your data to prevent errors.
The new version ships support for pandas 2.0, bare data dtypes for schemas, default values, and more.
