A colleague of mine was in a band called The Balancing Act back in the mid-80s. Peter Case produced their first EP (New Campfire Songs which had a cover of Captain Beefheart's Zig Zag Wanderer) and Andy Gill of Gang of Four produced their second and final LP, Curtains. Curtains had this cover of Funkadelic's Can You Get To That - and this was my intro to the whole P-Funk universe, though it's oddly unrepresentative.

The Letby case sounds like yet another miscarriage of justice due to people failing at statistics.
We had an identical witch-hunt case against a nurse in the Netherlands, Lucia de Berk, who was exonerated.
Richard Gill, a mathematician who helped get de Berk freed, says the Letby case is a carbon copy: inquisitor style evidence seeking against a nurse, and lousy, fragile statistics on the biased data.
