God I hate computer.
Electrical upgrade in my house. Broadband fibre disconnected and moved to another room. Electricians ask me to call Vodafone to get it reconnected properly in the new room.
Call Vodafone, spend ~5 minutes trying to explain myself to “Tobi”, Vodafone’s AI pal that's fun to be with. "Tobi” does now know wtf I'm talking about. Finally redirected to holding music for 5 minutes to talk to a human.

Ash Sarkar interviewing Blindboy on Novara Media recently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjmXzFQl4xI
Enjoyed that. Novara media put out some good stuff, and I like both these people.

The Millennium Park near #Blanchardstown is lovely these days. They’ve let the grass grow long and wild throughout a lot of the park, with neatly mowed pathways throughout and areas to sit. Really nice.
Also a well equipped and maintained playground (3 year old nephew couldn’t get enough of it), skate park, and multi use pitches.
It’s right beside the shopping centre but could be easily missed (I never really knew about it until moving near by). Nice spot for a walk or picnic.

My teacher said to forget what you know. Learn to be comfortable with not knowing. If you insist on knowing things you cannot be free. #bujinkan

Sad to hear that Zakir Hussain has passed away. Incredible tabla player.
Indian classical music is such a joy.
with Rakesh Chaurasia on bansouri:

I've been playing some 'Discworld MUD' for the first time in probably nearly 20 years. So far I've been walking around not really knowing what to do, but it's been cool enough just sight-seeing in Ankh-Morpork and remembering the place. Really great that this is still going and seemingly still with an active community and development. Have spoken to a few people on there with characters still going since the early/mid 2000s.

Nice talk here, about an hour long, from Jnanadhara in the Dublin Buddhist Centre, "May the Flames That Transmute Samsara Into Nirvana Arise". He talks about how the symbolism in poetry, art, prayer, and music, can help us shape and understand our reality in ways that are otherwise often difficult to express.

Here's a collection of simple, well spoken, guided meditation recordings from the Dublin Buddhist Centre, covering mindfulness of breathing, the metta bhavana (loving kindness), and body scan.

I often find recorded guided meditations to be a little distracting but I really like these; have been using these for the last few mornings.

Could anyone recommend a good but <= €1500 compact/foldable e-bike that I can get in Ireland for the ‘last mile’ of journeys?
i.e. something for commuting 20 - 40 mins on that fits comfortably enough into the luggage compartment of an intercity bus and occasionally in the boot of a small car.
