A Mother’s Cry That Should Shake the World
A foreign mother’s words are impossible to ignore:
“We search for our children at school, while in Gaza, parents search for their children beneath the rubble. Why are you silent?”
Behind every number coming from Gaza is a child, a mother, a father, a family, and a heart carrying unimaginable pain. No parent should ever have to wonder whether they will find their child alive beneath the ruins.
To everyone around the world who has refused to stay silent, who has spoken up, shared our stories, defended our humanity, and stood beside Palestinian families—thank you. Your compassion means more than words can express. ❤️
I am also asking you, from one mother to another: please don’t let my children’s suffering become just another number. We are struggling to provide our family with food and the basic necessities we need.

In 2009, the film “Couples Retreat” was released and has a scene with a Guitar Hero competition to this tune. Meanwhile, while deployed to U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay the previous year, a few of us (off duty) managed to play it as well in a Guitar Hero competition of our own. I didn’t win but didn’t do too bad, actually.
