I love this time of year; for a few years when I was growing up in Antigo, Wisconsin, we grew enough pumpkins for my mom to bake pumpkin pies and my dad would sell most of them to Louie’s Red Owl. The last year we did it, 1982, we filled both station wagons the folks had with pumpkins and delivered those to Louie’s.
